The Gosper County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the theft of cattle panels and square hay bales from a pasture that ran along Highway 23, west of Elwood. Sometime around 12/25/2009, person(s) unknown removed around 60 square bales and between 23 and 30 cattle panels. Some of the panels were painted one side, and others were not. The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of crimes beginning with Road 760 from Highway 21 to Road 435. Sometime during the early morning hours of October 6^th, 2009, person(s) unknown damaged several vehicles, damaged a business, and stole a car. The vehicle was recovered, however extensively damaged. Also taken were tools and three rechargeable batteries. Anyone with any information regarding this or any other case is encouraged to leave a tip. The suspects targeted homes in the northwest corner of town and entered into several.
